Week 1
Sunday, June 24th, 2007Here it is. The first week’s project. It was a birthday present for my friend Wendi - an old-fashioned sewing role and tied bag. The sewing role holds pins, a little pin cushion, a seamripper, and various other sewing notions. The little bag holds a single bobbin of thread, which is useful when you are sewing on a plane and don’t want the bobbin to go rolling around under the seats.
The pattern comes from www.allpeoplequilt.com. I did make a few modifications and simplifications, especially since the pattern was written for machine sewing and I did it all by hand.
I’m arleady hard at work on this week’s project. A little pieced bag, from a Japanese book Omiyage. More next week….
